5 ft. taper - Hayashida Darryl

This is the 3/4/5 weight version. As I said in my previous message it is
hard to pin down the exact line weight, because it depends on the length of
your average cast at the place you are fishing at. For instance, one stream
I go to I know I will not be casting more than 20 feet. I will use a 5 wt,
because I'll never be casting more than the front taper of the line. In
another stream I like to go to in the Sierra Mtns. I know I will be trying
to cast 30 - 40 every once and awhile, then I will use the 3 or 4 wt. line.
This is a one piece, but cutting it in half and putting on a ferrule doesn't
change the action too much. I have even turned this rod into a three piece
to fit in a backpack - but I did use aluminum ferrules.
