Re a couple of rod tapers - marty


Mark, Jay Harvey is a trade name of a sporting goods house out of
Philadelphia named EK Tryon & Co.. Another trade name of this company
was Kingfisher. The early rods which I think yours is was made by
Montague rod co. They are usually a higher grade Montague. Later rods
were made by Heddon. Value for a 91/2' Harvey with 1 full length tip and
1 short in EX. cond. is $100-125.
