I just came back from a trip to the Dean River in British Columbia where I fished the Bokstrom Rod 9' for a 8 wt. 

This rod is truly a friends rod. The rod was built by John and traded for a radial arm saw to John's close friend Bill Young. Prior to Bill's passing, the rod was acquired by another friend of both John and Bill, Ron Grantham. Rod kindly lent it to me for the trip on the Dean. During the week it landed 6 fish upwards of 13 lbs. It will cast a DT8 easily over 60 feet. Hauling it will add another 20. 

It's a great taper.
