Ralph and I went fishing at Grant Park last Thursday. We didn't catch any, but it had rained the day before and the water was really muddy. At least some steelhead were there. I saw a spin fisherman get one on a jig right in front of me.
On Friday I rode around and did some checking. Racine still hadn't open the weir so the fish can't get up yet. The water was high, but fishable downstream from the weir. No one was fishing. The Milwaukee River was finally ice free but extrememly fast and high. Most of the island at Kletch Park was under water.
