Kwan and I fished the Milwaukee twice this week. Wednesday the water was a little high and difficult to wade. We saw others fishing but only one guy was hooking steelies. He gave me a fly. It looked like a two inch long Hare's Ear in olive. I tied a few similar flies in a couple colors and we went back on Friday. We both hooked and lost two fish. Both of them were on the giant Hare's Ear. (Or maybe it's supposed to be a stonefly) Whatever it is, it seems to work and easy to tie.
