Last week I went to Estabrook again to try my luck. I literally had to push several salmon out of the way in order to wade in below the fall there.
In spite of an abundance of fish, I didn't get anything to go for my long red/white streamer. I cast it into the tail waters and let it drift downward while slowly retriving the line.
I must be doing something wrong because the guy next to me landed a big one. Maybe he was bottom fishing, I didn't see him cast much. I guess he had a heavy weight fly rod as it didn't take him long to land the salmon either.
