This time of year you might have some success on midge patterns, too. My favorite is a midge "blood worm" pattern -- a red larva imitation-- in size 20 or smaller.
Did you have any success on Saturday?

: I have a small brook trout stream near the house I will be walking and stalking. Probably using scuds, pheasant tails and maybe a trico. Keeping things small in the 18 range.
