Club member Joe Douglas & I spent opening day on Otter Creek & the Little Platte. It was cold & gray with a southwest wind and spitting snow in the afternoon. Both streams had shelves of ice on one or both sides of the water. Trout were inactive. There is a new parking area on the branch of Otter that comes in from the West, on Hiway Q about 1/4 mile from the Q bridge.

The Little Platte is about half the size of Otter, with some nice size pools that are hard to fly fish. The big bluff blocks the southwest wind so it felt warmer that Otter. Nice place and I'll go back there again.
