Have you fished the Milwaukee River @ Thiensville in previous years? I'm curious how many fish make it past the dams downstream to Thiensville. Since I live in Cedarburg this would be a closer location to fish for steelhead on the Milwaukee River.
: Fished the Milwaukee River on Wednesday (3/26)at Klesch park and hooked/lost one fish and then at dusk caught one very dark colored 22" steelhead. Nice fight. I was using a #8 Black Stonefly Nymph with the thorax made from Yellow Crystal Flash Chennille(Sp?). Also noted several fish attempting to jump the falls during my 2 hour outing.
: Fished the Milwaukee River on Thursday (3/27) at Theinsville. Noted ice along the edges of the river above the dam still. Water seemed colder upstream and I did not see any fish sign.
