Hi!:
Just made a broken tip from a Hardy Palakona 6'8" #4 2/2 from a friend. This rod has been made in 2,000 year, so it is a modern one. Is the same rod that appears in Hardy´s site: www.house-of-hardy.com
I measured the taper without coat (I revarnished all the rod because the scratches):

Tip (Only measured one only tip):

0" 0.0787
5" 0.1035
10" 0.1279
15" 0.1366
20" 0.1401
25" 0.1574
30" 0.1720
35" 0.1799
38.5" 0.1917

Butt section:

2" 0.2047
5" 0.2185
10" 0.2381
15" 0.2638
20" 0.2815
25" 0.2941
30" UNDER GRIP
35" UNDER GRIP

This is the taper, but I can tell more. Spiral node position, like Paynes. Older Hardys I had seen was 3 X 3... Yellow, clear natural cane colour.
Slow parabolic action, very pleasant to cast.
Blued ferrules with bright chromes hardware. Female ferrule is 1.77" and males are 0.98" long.
Guide spacing is next, starting at tip top tube´s and finishing in male ferrule bottom: 3.6", 4.5", 5.1", 6.1", 6.9", 8.46", 5.24". Tip section´s full lenght is 40.75", and if ferrule and top is removed, 39.96".
Spacing in butt section is next, starting at female ferrule top and finishing in winding check: 5.71", 10.63", 15.16". Reelseat and grip are cork, lenght 9 1/2" including the "universal Hardy reel seat fitting" and butt cap. Full lenght of the butt section is 41.14"
Wrapped in green tipped red, with large diametre English style snakes.
Male ferrules are marked with a "6" stamped.
Please, place it in Hexrod online taper archive.
Let me know.
Thanks.
Dani
